My love of yoga started late in my life, having dipped in and out of it for number of years. I met Brenda at ChillOut Yoga during a very stressful period in my life and my yoga journey began. Training with Brenda was one of the best decisions I have made for my own health and well-being. I share my love of yoga now with my classes and allow everyone to feel comfortable at their level of practice by gentle guidance and support.
As a nurse of 40 years, my interest has always been with those who are ill, but I soon realized working with Brenda and undertaking teacher training with her how Yoga employs a broad holistic approach that teaches people a new lifestyle, way of thinking and way of being in their life. My interest is in Therapeutic yoga and passing on these benefits to others, in relieving stress, fatigue, invigoration and vitality, it's anti-ageing properties and its application for relaxation therapy.
I have also completed further Yoga training with Jude Murray at Healing Space for those living with Cancer and long term conditions, which has deepened my own personal practice and given me confidence to help people through illness and injury. Yoga can be adapted and is gentle enough for anyone of any age, whilst going through treatment for cancer, post cancer or living with chronic health condition.
